Martinique Gourmande returns to Montreal

Martinique Gourmande this year is back in Montreal . Think of french cuisine but with spices from the islands, a perfect combination. For it's 6th edition more than 30 restaurants are presenting a dish or cocktail inspired by Martinique's rich culinary culture! We visited Valois restaurant for the occasion and were plesently surprised with the outcome. Maître Restaurateur of France, Jean-Charles Brédas inspired these dishes with a taste of the caribbean island. From the rum to the plantain, the menu is curated with passion and a real  savoir-faire.  Talking to the chef at Valois , we saw the excitement he felt after working and learning from Chef Brédas. In the end the plates were well executed, bravo!

Until September 25th, there are again more than 30 restaurants participating so make sure you mark your calendars and enjoy a taste of the islands. It will only make you want to visit Martinique really soon which is not a bad idea after all.
