WHERE TO EAT FOR MTL A TABLE

For Montreal's 375th anniversary, MTL à Table highlights Quebec by putting forth local ingredients. From November 2nd to the 16th, more than 175 restaurants are coming together to offer you great food for 21$, 31$ ,41 or 71$. This event is a great way to discover restaurants, eat tasty local food and also try a place that normally charges way more then 41$ for a 3 course menu.

This year, there are are a few brunch spots you might want to check out for 15$. On the mtlatable.com website, you will find the complete list of the restaurants so make sure you reserve as soon as you can because the space is limited.

To make things easier here is my list of restaurants I tried and love!

21$ MENU:

DOLCETTO & CO  (Italian food, cozy, tasty and good vibes)

LA KHAIMA (North African food, tasty food, BYOB, feels like home)

LAÏKA (vegetarian friendly, tasty and mostly local ingredients, a gem!)

EXTRA (never been but herd great things : VENICE (New, veggie friendly, light menu filled salads, soups and poké bowls)

31$ MENU

EMILIANOS (tasty, fresh and creative latin food with a generous menu)

PASTAGA (French meet Quebec, no fuss just great food plus they offer great options)

MAGGIE OAKES (lovely restaurant, fancy comfort food, real tasty + they have brunch on the weekend.)

EXTRA : LE VIRUNGA the menu is eclectic with recipes from Nigeria, Senegal and so much more. A must if you want to experience something new!

41$ MENU

HELENA:  Che Helena's restaurant is a staple in the culinary world of Montreal. The flavors are precise and well executed. A high end Mediterranean experience for less!

ICHIGO ICHIE: fairly new in the family, this izakaya (japanese pub) offers great food with mostly organic ingredients. Black cod, tempura shrimps, sake....anything goes! They re open to vegan and gluten free requests)

IKANOS: Every time I go, I am reconnected with my love for Greek/Mediterranean food. Chef Constant Mentzas is a passionate artist who knows how to play with food. Always bringing the most creative yet simple combination of flavors. PLUS the brunch is DIVINE!

HVOR: From the plating to the recipes, the only word that can explain this place is WOW. When your restaurant uses ingredients from their own garden, you know you're in for a fresh and organic treat. Don't spend too much time trying to understand the menu simply book your spot and enjoy!

Bon appetit!
