Where to go for Montreal's Grand Prix Weekend

Exactly 50 years ago Montreal jumped on the Formula 1 wagon and the city has never been the same since then. We have had a great run with the Villeneuve family who went down in F1 history.  For so many reasons this particular week is an excuse for many establishments to party and celebrate. There are so many events going on this week a quick recap was mandatory for you to quickly decide where to go. This is a small list since there is so much more happening but I wanted to highlight a few of them. Whether you are feeling for a laid back (ok not so much) event or a lavish one, I've got you covered!

THURSDAY JUNE 8TH

1. LE GRAND SOIR

The tradition continues with a grandiose soiree happening this year at the Old Port's terminal where more than 1000 VIP guests are expected for a great night. Top renowned chefs; Antonio Park, Angus An, Anthony Walsh and Pino Posteraro will ensure a decadent culinary experience. This year the event will raise funds the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation and Sacré Coeur Hospital's trauma department . For tickets and more info click here

2. RED CARPET BBQ at ABGE

Auberge Saint-Gabriel has got you covered for the whole weekend. One noteworthy event is their Red Carpet BBQ planned with our beloved chef Martin Juneau who prepped a serious menu with great food. I had the chance to taste the food during the media launch, the food is certified! Celebs, great music and good food on the menu to launch the F1 festivities! Get your tickets here

3.Time to party SOMWHR

You simply want to dance? For 3 days straight, in collaboration with Lamborghini and Dom Perignon, dance the night away with talented DJs from Montreal. Special shout out to DJ Fafa Khan who kills it every time! Catch her on the turntable Saturday night.

4. PIT STOP AT THE W HOTEL

Although the W Hotel doesn't have crazy events planned this year, it is still a good option to stop by for drinks, enjoy their brunch and great music by local and international DJs. The vibe is just right over at the W Hotel! On Thursday, REBIRTH OF COOL is back with Dj Ferno from Philly and local Dj Godfather D. The best part is that you go whenever and there are no cover charges but get there early because the space fills up quickly. I would say this is my (not so) laid back option for the weekend.

FRIDAY JUNE 9TH

1. PARTY @ TERRACE BELVEDERE

This year the BELVEDERE terrace moved to the old port (between Auberge Saint-Gabriel and Vieux-Port Steakhouse) for a full weekend of festivities. Friday from 5 to 11 and for the weekend, it opens at 11am. Lots of activities are planned for you. From pop up champagne brunches, to South of France inspired dinners, visit the terrace to get a Belvedere cocktail after work and enjoy the scenery! Did I mention that they even installed a pool and its free? Just saying...

2. ASTON MARTIN PRESENTS THE GRAND PRIX PARTY

Every year, the party at the Ritz-Carlton gets more and more exclusive. As an attendee from the first edition, I can say that this party is one I look forward to every year. The main attraction is by far the decor that always amazes the guests. This year, event planner Maddy K will work her magic to wow the guests once again with her epic decor and set up. Open bar, Moet & Chandon champagne bar, fresh food buffet style, Dj Yo-C on the turntables, live performances, gift bags and much more. Find your best outfit and get a ticket here before it sells out!

SUNDAY JUNE 11TH

1. BOOZY BRUNCH TIME

After the madness on Saturday night, more fun awaits at Terrasse Bonsecours for their weekekly boozy brunch with Dj Chris N & Pat Boogie. Every Sunday this place is packed for summer brunches but this edition in collaboration with Grand Prix will be extra special. For 30$ eat, dance and sing (if you still got a voice) to the sound of today's hits.

2. OFFICIAL CLOSING PARTY

You need to give it one last stretch for the official closing party at Auberge Saint-Gabriel. Every year this is the place where more celebs and drivers end their crazy weekend. Hurry for your tickets here

3. BUONANOTTE FINALE!

For more than 25 years, this supper club manages to throw the best parties so make sure you get your tickets here not only for the closing party but for any other events happening this weekend.

Don't be shy to say hi if we cross paths this week and be safe!
